The King of Fighters 2000 is a 2D team-based fighting game by SNK for the Neo Geo. It expands the Striker assist system introduced in KOF '99. Its story centers on a tournament held by Heidern, the commander of the Hikari military forces, who wants to question K' and Maxima about the NESTS cartel.
