Donkey Kong Country is a 1994 side-scrolling platform game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The player controls Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong through levels to recover a stolen banana hoard, using barrels and riding animal buddies along the way. Its characters and scenery were pre-rendered from 3D models and turned into sprites.
