About
Super Mario Kart is a 1992 kart racing game developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. During a race the camera sits behind the player's kart. The tracks are drawn with the SNES Mode 7 texture-mapping technique to give a pseudo-3D look. It is the first game in the Mario Kart series.
