Pitfall II: Lost Caverns is a 1984 platform game for the Atari 2600 and a sequel to Pitfall! (1982). As Pitfall Harry, the player explores a maze of caverns in Peru, running, jumping, climbing ladders, swimming and riding balloons. The goals are to find his niece Rhonda, Quickclaw the cat and the Raj diamond. Red crosses act as checkpoints, and there are no conventional lives.
