Mega Man X is a 1993 side-scrolling platform game by Capcom for the Super NES, known in Japan as Rockman X. It is the first game in the Mega Man X sub-series. The player controls X through eight Maverick stages in any order, wall-jumping and firing a chargeable X-Buster, and gains each defeated boss's weapon.
