About
Quake is a 1996 first-person shooter developed by id Software and published by GT Interactive. Its levels alternate between futuristic military bases and medieval, gothic environments, with a setting that draws on gothic fiction and the works of H. P. Lovecraft. Players fight monsters, find keys and secret areas, and reach each level's exit.
